Remote Online Notarization (RON)
What is Remote Online Notarization?
Remote Online Notarization, also known as RON, is the process of signing remotely online in front of an Electronic Notary via a secure platform, while while being video and audio recorded.
DISCLAIMER: Electronically notarized documents and RON signings are not accepted by everyone. Please consult with the receiver of your documents if they will accept electronic notarization before you book an appointment.
Document Preparation
Once I receive the documents that need to be notarized I will evaluate and prep them so that they are ready to sign when you log into the meeting room. I will make sure all the information on the documents is correct and sufficient for me to perform the notarization.

ID Verification
Before a signing can be executed, it is my responsibility to verify the identity of the signer. I will need an electronic copy of the signer's ID which I will run through a special ID verification software on NotaryCam's platform. Some states require that KBA questions be used for further verification. I am able to also perform those.

Administering Oaths and Acknowledgements
In order to notarize legal documents, most of the time the signer needs to swear an Oath or agree to an Acknowledgment. This is done by raising one's right hand and repeating the appropriate phrase after the Notary or simply saying "I do" or "I agree".

Step-by-step Guidance Through the Signing Process
Once I have prepped your documents, verified your ID and administered the oath or Acknowledgement, I will guide you thought the signing process. The singing platform is very intuitive. I will also be able to describe the type of documents you are signing and make sure you understand them.

Electronic Notarization
Once you have signed all documents, I will sign and notarize them electronically, following your State specific guidelines. The final documents will be emailed via a secure link to the party who ordered them.

Virginia Notary Available
We have a Virginia Notary available for your International clients who are not able to complete the KBA verification process.
